Mayuri was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. She is married with two grown children and has lived in Johns Creek since 1996. She is an avid health and fitness professional with certifications in Personal Training, Spin, and Bodyworks. However, her true passion is yoga.
By creating amazing moments of profound energy, Mayuri’s world has changed forever and the inspirational and empowering feel for yoga is what she wants to impart to her students. For over a decade, Mayuri has been helping clients find physical, mental, and spiritual balance. She received her Meridian Yoga Certification in Boston, Massachusetts and is also trained in Street Yoga. She also holds a Grounded certification for kids and she extends her love of yoga by teaching both the very young and the very old. Mayuri completed her 500 hour training at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Massachusettes. She is also a certified Ayurvedic Health Coach.
Mayuri believes that we use the physical intensity of the practice to heal and tone the body as well as to challenge and expand our understanding of ourselves. Her goal as an instructor is to motivate and inspire others to use yoga, not just as physical exercise but as a mind-body connection that can deepen consciousness and tranquility. Believing that Yoga is a unique experience for everyone, she has found her Dharma in teaching the healing principles of yoga, so that everyone can find balance, peace, and love.
